Biography

Bekzod Narimanov is the Deputy Human Rights Representative (Ombudsman) of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, an Associate Professor, and a Doctor of Legal Sciences (DSc). He earned his degree in jurisprudence from Tashkent Islamic University and later led the master's program at the National University of Uzbekistan.

Between 2017 and 2023, he held key academic positions at Tashkent State Law University, including Deputy Dean and Head of the Department of Education Quality Control. In September 2023, he was appointed as Deputy Ombudsman by the Legislative Chamber and Senate of Uzbekistan.

A recognized expert in human rights and constitutional law, Narimanov has authored two monographs, over 60 scholarly articles, and 100+ publications for broader audiences. He led the STREET LAW project (2019–2021), contributed to constitutional reforms, and is currently developing digital platforms on constitutional and children’s rights. Additionally, he supervises six PhD researchers in legal sciences.
